Mahinestan Raheb Hotel, originally known as Shah Yalani House, dates back to the Qajar era and the early Pahlavi period. Located on Fazel Naraghi Street in the Darb-e-Bagh district, this historic house has been registered as a national monument since August 10, 2005.
The hotel is a stunning example of traditional Persian architecture. It features three separate courtyards, known as Andaruni (interior yard), Biruni (exterior yard), and Khadame (crew yard). The house is designed with two floors and a three-sided structure surrounding these yards. The notable architectural elements include two Sardabs (cellars), a Shahneshin (dining room), a Hashti Vorudi (entrance hall), a Tabestani Iwan (summer porch), a Zemestani Iwan (winter porch), and a Badgir (wind catcher). The house is richly adorned with stucco paintings using Ghatarbandi and Karbandi techniques.
The restoration of this historic house began in 2010 under the supervision of master architect Seyed Akbar Helli and was completed in 2014. It has since been transformed into the luxurious Mahinestan Raheb Hotel, blending historic charm with modern amenities.
