If you're visiting Kashan, don't miss the Manouchehri House, a beautiful boutique hotel in the city's historic neighborhood. This area is known for its traditional Persian architecture and craftsmanship. The house has been carefully restored to preserve its history while adding modern amenities.
Manouchehri House dates back to the Safavid dynasty and was rebuilt in the Qajar era after being damaged by an earthquake in 1778. In 2007, it was purchased and registered as a heritage monument, then restored to become Iran’s first boutique hotel. It received the Lonely Planet Top Choice award in 2012 and was shortlisted for an Aga Khan Award.
The hotel offers eight unique guest rooms, each with special architectural details. These rooms surround a peaceful courtyard that features a reflecting pool and gardens with local fruit trees. When you arrive, you're welcomed in an elegant lobby decorated with traditional Iranian furnishings and an art gallery in the atrium above.
The dining room in the original guest quarters provides a serene atmosphere for enjoying local and regional dishes. With high-vaulted ceilings and colorful glass windows, it’s a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
